
BENEFITS OF MTAP
MTAP will contribute up to $500 per applicant towards the cost of tuition and instruction per instructional year. MTAP will not contribute towards the cost of instruments or equipment needed by the applicant. The $500 will be split into two payments by e-transfer directly to the Music Instructor, one payment of up to $250 in the Fall session and one payment of up to $250 in the Spring session.
ELIGIBILITY
Music students must be 18 years and younger as of December 31 of the application year and be enrolled in an accepted music instructional course of choice. Ex. piano, voice, strings, etc.
The applicant must live in the designated area which is centered on Vermilion, AB and a surrounding radius of 65 km and includes Lloydminster, Wainwright and Elk Point.
Application forms must be submitted by email to MTAP between August 1 & August 31 of each year and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Late applications may not be considered.
Applications may be limited by the amount of funding available to MTAP.

Application must be signed by the applicant and the parent or guardian.
Limit of one MTAP contribution per music student. For example, if a student is taking piano and voice lessons, he/she may qualify for one MTAP contribution.
OTHER
- If applicant does not satisfactorily complete the Fall session, funding for the Spring session may be forfeited.

- Successful applicants are required to enter an Adjudicated Music Festival in their area.

- MTAP only offers financial assistance to the applicant and does not interfere or have input into the scope or content of the lessons being taught.
